SNPR would like to give special recognition to all of
the pugs that entered the Cutest Pug contest. We are
extremely thankful for everyone who “voted” for his or
her favorite pugs over and over again. The contest was
far more successful then we ever imagined it would be.
We are very pleased that people took it for what it was
and understood it was simply a healthy competition to
raise money for a cause that is so important to all of
us. The money raised helped us through some very busy
rescue months. The continuous “votes” made it possible
for us to take in and help several special needs pugs.
Although we know every one of the pugs that entered
wanted to win, ultimately in the end it was actually
SNPR that won. We could not be more grateful.
The
five finalist pugs have come to mean so much to all of
us at SNPR for one reason or another.
Elvis
was a very special rescue not so long ago. Who doesn’t
remember that sad face on the website when he needed his
heart surgery? Who knew mom Jo could nurse little Elvis
into such a strong and handsome guy? Everyone who sees
him is amazed at how far he has come!
Pugsy
is one of many rescue pugs that the Galloway family has
adopted. Through the years the Galloway’s have filled
their homes with pugs of all ages. Pugsy is just one of
their special family members, and one of SNPR’s as well!
Emmi
was another special rescue just 8 short months ago. Emmi
came to us from Lied and was suffering from extreme
neglect. She had toenails grown into her paws and an eye
missing and infected. She won the hearts of many people
at Pug O Rama but the DeJesus family won our hearts and
we soon found Princess Emmi the family she deserves.
Skittles
has been visiting our meet ups and events since he was
as small as his Dad Derricks hands. He was sincerely one
of the cutest baby pugs we have ever seen. Skittles can
be found at all of our meet ups charming everyone he
meets and reminding us how fun (and how much work)
puppies can be.
Frisky
is a fan favorite of anyone who has ever attended Pug O
Rama. Frisky is our reigning POR champ and is a long
time supporter of SNPR. Frisky and his mom Kim have a
special place in SNPR and it wouldn’t be an SNPR contest
without Frisky!
Although we all believe our personal pugs are the
cutest pugs ever, in Southern Nevada or elsewhere… As I
said before, there can only be one actual winner. So
again, we would like to thank everyone who has
participated, and contributed, and we hope you all agree
that no matter who won, it was an excellent fundraiser
that will allow us to continue to rehabilitate and
re-house pugs into homes as special as all of yours are.
